Preparation Workshop for the IREB *) exam to become "Certified
Professional for Requirements Engineering"
Become a Certified Professional for Requirments Engineering!
Boost your market value and your value for your company! Requirements
Engineering, Business Analysis and Systems Analysis are key disciplines
on your way to successful projects. Wrong or unclear requirements - even
if they are perfectly implemented - lead to wrong or unpopular solutions.
Learn the state of the art in mastering the requirements process.
Should I participate?
Yes, if you are interested in developing the "right" systems
and products. Those systems, that people love to use. The workshop is
intended for requirements engineers, business analysts, system analysts,
but also for everybody that is involved in eliciting and, documenting
system or product requirements, e.g. product managers, portfolio analysts,
business experts and marketing departments.
.... for those who want to proof their capabilites with an internationally
acknowledged certificate.
What will I learn?
The skills you learn are not limited to specify software products but
cover the whole range of embedded systems that include hardware, mechanical
and electrical parts and other technologies.
You will learn or improve your capabilities to identify relevant stakeholders
in your project, to elicit their requirements, needs, wishes and dreams
using adequate „trawling techniques“. You will also learn
to document, check and organize these requirements using state-of-the-art
modeling techniques and tools. Based on the renowned requirements method
VOLERE you will get to know a template and a process, that will make your
requirements efforts manageable.
Especially the functional requirements will also be captured in state-of-the-art
models (use cases, classes, activity models and state charts) which allow
for easier consistency and completeness checking.
The workshop includes all the necessary parts of the IREB board’s
curriculum to become a “Certified Professional for Requirements
Engineering” (Foundation Level). The small blue numbers next to
the chapters in the content refer to the IREB curriculum. Exams can be
scheduled in conjunction with the workshop.
But this workshop goes beyond the foundation level: Lots of exercises
and an extensive case study in between the lectures make sure that you
gain pragmatic working knowledge. You will be able to use that knowledge
immediately after the workshop to speed up and improve your projects.
